Dental drilling rig

Classification:

Application

Electric dental drill is a basic medical equipment in dentistry, commonly used for drilling, grinding, cutting teeth, repairing and polishing restorations, as well as for periodontal and alveolar surgery.

Electric dental drilling machines generally use single-phase series excited motors, with armature windings and commutators on the rotor, and two sets of excitation windings on the stator to form opposite magnetic poles. The excitation winding and armature winding are connected in series with the commutator through a carbon brush and connected to a single-phase AC power supply. In a single-phase series excited motor, the armature current and magnetic flux change almost in phase (magnitude and direction), so the rotor is driven by instantaneous torque, causing the motor to rotate.
